Not many hotel rooms are that big though.
and yes careful but hard to keep quite when fighting especially when you attack

I did it once...only boxing, much infighting. Using the legs for kickboxing, no way.

Well, I think most people here who do Muay Thai are aware of the possibility NOT to fight in a Hotel Room? :D

Lol...I'm around 7 years in my gym, but I won't get the keys for a private match.
Luckily I have the space for such meetings, but on the other side, distance is always a point...so I'm hearing many times about hotel rooms.🤷‍♂️

What I like to do (purely for boxing) is putting a hoola-hoop (or some other circle) on the ground which either fighter may not leave with the front foot. It's fun and really great training!

(I find that teaches terrible footwork though... guys retreating, but being forced to leave their front foot in the circle end up having awkward, non-natural poses (non-natural both for everyday and for boxing), teaching them bad habits.)

Hmm 🤔 there really wouldn't be much room to sweep from the clinch then would there? although it would be great to keep things tight nit. My stance is pretty wide ( probably a disadvantage but I've got boxing to thank for that)

Not to forget...where will the fight take place?
A small hotel room will not leave much place for much footwork.

Dito...not to forget, if it`s a private match, there would not be a ref. XD

That's a very valid point.. clinch till one of us submits! How wonderful

That's totally up to you :D but just clinching until someone drops out of the game or restricting the fight to a very small area in general can be fun too. Actually, it's a great training for your infighting game as well.

I would say, depends on your opponent and how you fight.

Hi 👋 new to meetfighters here. I'm pretty excited to have found a website designed specifically for combat sports. It's difficult to find anyone with the same passion for Muay Thai as me, as most have now gone to MMA, which is ok but MT is my passion..question is, when playing outside the gym, how long should we keep the clinch going for? Until someone drops? Or keep it the traditional 4 secs?
