That’s the whole point. To collapse the pony team to score the points. You don’t want the weight evenly distributed. You want it stacked up on the smallest players on the other team. They played it exactly right. By getting so much weight on the skinny kid at the end, he gave out under all that weight. The riding team won that round and now they get to jump again. With your method, they wouldn’t have scored any points and the teams would have had to switch sides so the other team can try to score points.
I have no idea what you are talking about. The rules of the game are that one team has to collapse the other team to earn a point. How have they failed? Looks like the team got the point.
Too bad there wasn't a nerd in the group. If there had been he would have give it more thought and strategized placing the biggest guys at the base with the smaller more gymnast types towards top as the mound builds.
That way the weight would have been distributed more evenly across the bridge.
If you noticed it failed towards the mounting point where the greatest amount of weigh had accumulated – the weakest link.
