Don’t worry Coach! Leg press is my GVT exercise for thighs for 6 weeks (lying hamstring curl is the other) and am doing 2/3 additional exercises.
At the end of the cycle will train more conventionally for 6-8 reps with lots more variety.
Thanks for all your advice, I DO listen!
So I’m 3 weeks into German Volume Training - I start each session for a body part with 10 sets of 10 reps, with no more than a minute rest in between.
Today it’s LEGS.
Week one - Leg press 10x10 with 180kgs/397lbs (not that heavy but you try lifting it 100times in about 12 minutes!)
Week two - Leg press 10x10 with 200kg/441lbs
SO - question for the forum: once you successfully complete at a weight, you should go up by about 5% next workout.
BUT: Punishment, pain and pushing myself past my limits means GROWTH.
So, guys, is it 210kgs or 220kgs today - can I force my thighs to do another 100reps with another 45lbs?
Does anyone want a picture of me curled up in a ball by the machine afterwards, dripping with sweat, pumped to all hell and probably on the verge of tears?

You need cycles : examples one month heavy 5x5 or 10x10 but not only press
Next cycle : volume 4x12
