Facial control / humiliation / abuse.
Control of the face during wrestling is an art and a science. It is the epitome of deep control of a rival. It is one of the most offensive, intimidating and overwhelming set of holds in the sport and is very discouraging to a man's hopes of winning and a great way to attack his ego and dignity. In addition to disorienting him by blocking and / or oppressing his senses (sight, smell and taste, as well as muzzling and silencing him) you can obstruct his breathing and oxygen supply, deeply humiliate him and put him in a state of mind of suffering and surrender.
